Sunrise 2020 Sydney

The sun rose in Sydney on a New Year but the fires are still burning bad. After breathing smoke for over a month in the harbour city we have had a slight reprieve these last days, but we are the lucky ones. So much has been lost and it's still far from over. It's so sad. We need to hold our so called leaders to account here now, they've drained our rivers, ripped our earth apart and neglected our bush now for too long. The fire has shook us from our apathy Down Under. The 'She'll be right mate' attitude is both a blessing and a curse. We need now to stand up for our environment and elect only people who can help the earth, not harm it.
Pray for us as we pray for rain.
Now...
Let me share an escape with music as it helped me so much to cool my anger and loose my hopelessness. It gave me a precious spark of positivity in which to welcome in the new dawn of a new decade.
