Black Beyond is an experiment unweaving and unraveling the group project.
Into a parallel universe, removed from the project grounded in white supremacist imaginary.
Black Beyond asks: What is Blackness? How is Blackness realized? Who are we outside of the project? How do we overcome Afro-pessimism to speculate (Afro)nowise and futurism?
In Celebration of Juneteenth, Black Beyond curated an intimate evening of virtual events including artists talks and virtual performances, on Friday, June 19, 2020. Artists included @internal_field , @aoctaviusw, Fiel Guhit, @jonmillner and @kissingtherain
