Something For The Weekend Part 16 - Modern Lights Of Boogie, Funk & Soul

Just in time to get in the mood for the weekend, there are modern beats again, mainly in the 80s guise. There is also a reunion/rehearing of artists from whom one would actually no longer expect new music. For example, in my set you will hear Howard Johnson, Kano, Dynasty, Change and Chaka Khan. A great lineup for all 80s funky fans. When I found out that Kano had released a new album, I was really looking forward to it. And it's wonderful to hear Glen White's voice again. However, it would have been even better if Stafano Pulga had produced it again and we would have been better spared the further vocals. Still a nice funky song for the party. By the way: I hear elements of "It's your turn" by Delegation in the Magoo song, and Jay Diggs sounds clearly like the SOS band "No One's Gonna Love You". :) Just an impression of what to expect.
