For me, Karen Carpenter had the best white voice in music history. So clear and velvety soft at the same time. Maybe her tragic life story was the reason for that. I chose the track "If I Had You" from their album recorded in 1980, which was first released in 1996, thirteen years after Karen's death. What a great song, what a great album!
