Description
Welcome to the history of hip Hop and Rap Music from the 80s. This time I want to show you the transformation from old school to new school in the 80s. The old school era began in the late 1970s and lasted until 1985 at the latest. Some experts even describe the year 1983 as a turning point. You can tell by the sound itself. The beats got harder and the fun gradually faded away. The lyrics lost their lightness and the atmosphere was suddenly very different. Electric guitar riffs gradually emerged, leading to another New School style - later known as a crossover. Personally, I'm more of a proponent of the old school and not a huge fan of the new school.
In my set you will find some rarities but also a large number of hits that make the transformation clear. Have fun with the sounds of the 80's old school and especially new school raps.
