The latest show is the 7th in the series showcasing the work of PROLIFIC PRODUCERS – this time it’s Joe Boyd, an American who became a bit of an Anglophile and moved to the UK in 1964 to establish the UK office of Elektra Records. His first successes were with the burgeoning folk rock scene led by Fairport Convention, Nick Drake, John Martyn and others, but he had previously been in charge of the sound at the Newport Folk Festival on the (in)famous occasion when Bob Dylan went electric.
