Freewheeling music series with Ivor Kallin. This week's episode follows your host to Barra, in the Outer Hebrides, and to Edinburgh, featuring a vocal duet with the sea, and with a dampened piano. We also have the honour of attending a session of waulking songs from the Heritage Centre in Barra, and wander down to Leith Links for a wee Klezmer session. Other Edinburgh luminaries including Dick Gaughan and Usurper do their thing, whilst there’s a wee tune on the carnyx, as played 2,000 years ago, maybe.
