Hosted on London's Resonance FM by Rihards Endriksons, journalist and artistic director of Latvia's Skaņu Mežs festival, Such Music is devoted to new works of free improvised music, either previously unheard or created specifically for the show. The show is produced in collaboration with Burning Ambulance, an online journal of arts and culture. This month: Exclusive early previews of soon-to-be-released music. First, Scatter's impressive recording of the Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra with Pat Thomas paying tribute to Thelonious Monk, coming out on 21st June. Then, a peek into Satoko Fujii's album of piano duos with Myra Melford, which comes out on RogueArt on 8th May. You'll also hear music by Sandy Ewen, The Thunks, John Coltrane, and believe it or not, Pat Metheny!
