Interviews and informed portraits of contemporary American musicians with our stateside correspondent Gianluca Tramontana (in temporary and voluntary exile in Marseille). Today: the world lost two cornerstones of the '60s blues revival within days of each other. In America John Hammond, who died at 83, dedicated his whole life to both rural acoustic blues and urban Chicago blues. At the same time Mike Vernon in Britain, who died at 81, started his Blue Horizon label and launched the careers of John Mayall, Eric Clapton and Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac. Gianluca pays tribute to them both with their music.
