Modulisme (which translates as Modularism) is devoted to out of leftfield modular synthesis. This week: David Lee Myers is an American artist releasing music under the name Arcane Device. He has spent decades exploring feedback not as an effect, but as a primary material, a living system that thinks, reacts and evolves. His electronic music is built from feedback loops that are carefully set in motion, then allowed to behave. Sound feeds back into itself, mutates, thickens, destabilises. Control is never total.
