Polemic, politics, mouth jazz and spontaneous music with Ben Watson. This week: Outbreak of Heavy Techno and Cute Noise as half a dozen tracks by Manchester's Cruckle (from their eponymous third release on Bandcamp produced by Joe Clayton) are folded between selections from AMM All-Stars at their Betsey Trotwood lunchtime residency. Cruckle's album is described as "a tribute to growing up in Rochdale", and sees beatmeisters Andrew Maxwell and Charlotte Whelan joined by traditional singer Jennifer Reid and saxophonist Adrian Steele. AMM All-Stars were Peter Baxter on percussion, plus Out To Lunch and Nick Lubran on guitars.
