This week: Caroline Abrahams, Charity Director at Age UK, responds to the Autumn Budget in pointing out that freezing the income tax personal allowance for a further three years will drag more older people into paying income tax. England-based pensioners’ charity, Independent Age, shares that this Budget should have been the time to address pensioner poverty but unfortunately it has missed an opportunity to help the almost two million older people affected. Our musical tribute is to Jimmy Cliff, aged 81, who was a Jamaican ska, rocksteady, reggae and soul musician, considered one of Jamaica's most celebrated musicians.
