Grand Hornu UNESCO Folk mix

live mix by Sebcat & LeBlanc during the UNESCO celebration night @ Grand-Hornu cultural site on 07/09/2012. This mix honours the miners and the many generations of immigrants that passed through Grand-Hornu from the mid 1800's till the 1950's, for which we selected Flemish & Wallonian folk songs, Polish tango & folklore, Italian tarantella's & political songs, Spanish miner songs from Asturias, folk & flamenco, Greek rembetika, Armenian folk swing, Turkish psychedelic folk and Moroccan folklore from the Rif. This sound takes you back into the rough times of mining and mass migration in Belgium. Also up for download in 192k here >
