Eclectic 2012 Mix; Bye-Bye Kali Yuga, Hello Dwapara Yuga, part 1

and so the turbulent year of 2012 has drawn to a close. It was a year overshadowed by the economic crisis, natural disasters, political developments, restlessness in the Arab & African world and the continuing civil war in Syria, but also some positive light points flickering on the horizon such as the UN vote for a Palestinian state. The false western interpretation of the Maya calendar did not help much either except creating fear for nothing. According to the ancient Four Yuga Hindu cycles (to divide in dark, bronze, silver & golden ages) that are based on galactic allignments, the date of 21 december indicated an upward ascending shift into a new age, leaving the Kali Yuga (dark age) behind and entering the more self-conscious & peaceful Dwapara Yuga (bronze age). The sound of this mix reflects this shift, from sounds of the Arab spring to global political-musical statements and spheres of inner melancholy and outward joy.
