Merhaba! our 8th radio show (Sept 2014) , as broadcasted on Radio Campus Bxl during September and streamed on Groovalizacion Radio! We start with 2 songs of the day; digital cumbia by UK producer Capitol K and vintage afrofunk by Spanish band Finis Africae. We are joined by Bart ilunga who specialises in vintage African music and runs the Brussels label Planet ilunga, which is also our label focus this episode. Our albums of the month are Souvenirs From Essongo 1957-1961 by Rock-a-Mambo & l'Africaj Jazz (Planet ilunga) and also the new EP 'Aphasia' by electro ethnic globetrotters/activists Filastine & Nova (Post World/Chusma). Our global style focus is Arabic hiphop in its most modern and mutated shape, with strong selections from Palestine, Egypt, Libanon and Jordan. At the end, we dive into yet another Rebel Up!
