Rebel Up Nightshop #2: Ethio, Zam-rock, Caballito, Bahru Kegne, Débruit & Alsarah, Electro Chaabi

Here our 2nd radio show, as broadcasted on Radio campus Bxl on 15th of February and to be repeated several times during the month! We kick off with 2 Niger Tendé and Zambian songs, followed by a label focus about the international Spanish Caballito label that releases digital cumbia music from the latin world, all to be dowloaded for free! The albums of the month, which were Bahru Kegne (on Terp Records) and Débruit & Alsarah (on Crammed Discs), followed by a global style focus on Electro Chaabi (also known as Mahragan) music from the suburbs of Caïro, Egypt, the current electronic arabic dancehall style with a heavy social context. No nightshop segment in this episode, but a longer Rebel Up! Soundclash freestyle mix of all kinda global sounds.
