Nightshop for February is here. 2 songs of the day, via India to La Reunion & Cabo Verde. Albums of the month start with Belgian band Alpacas Collective and their worldly funk, the compilation Wagudu Grooves with Malian Soninke sounds from the 80’s, the Swiss band Konkolo Orchestra and their afrobeat & highlife and the compilation Merengue Tipico by Brussels digger Funky Bompa. Oriane Lacaille from La Reunion brings her maloya jazz and pop, while Lebanese-Palestinian artist Rayess Bek revives old songs via melancholic electronics and French duo Guess What bring their spacy theaterplay soundtrack via synths and percussion.
