DJ Bruise Lee revisits a classic north west mixtape from way back in 1994.
LIFE @ Bowlers on the sprawling Trafford Park industrial estate of Manchester was an indoor sports & exhibition centre converted every Saturday into the largest indoor rave in Europe. 4000 wide eyed ravers danced & hugged in a laser-pierced fog of smoke & sweat as the likes of Bowa, Stu Allan, Nipper, and Rob Tissera pumped the choons to the gleeful throng.
The 'Bring Cake' night was the second birthday of this northern institution and it seems a fitting tribute to reimagine that night in celebration of the Raindrop Radio first birthday thirty years on.
Using the iconic 'Cake Pink' setlist from the seminal LIFE mixtape series (£10 at the merch stall), Bruise Lee will spin classic house tracks from the likes of Jaydee, The Source, X-Press 2, Evolution, Robin S, Baby D, Stereogen, and many more!
