In this episode Penelope will be talking to Selwin Hulme about his training with StoneCrabs Directors In Practice Programme, where his new staging of Edgar Allan Poe's horror story The Black Cat will be performed at the Omnibus Theatre. Edgar Allan Poe’s famous horror story about a man’s relationship with his cat that takes a horrific turn, leading to unexplainable supernatural events that rob him of everything he has. Selwin took Edgar Allan Poe’s famous words and brought them to life onstage with a performer and actor-musician.
The recording is a mix of an informal chat between Penelope and Selwin which is merged with the sound of a day in rehearsals of the production.
