Suhdio Siudio / Mishkos Kenomagwen (The Teachings of Grass) / 23.07.22

In Mishkos Kenomagwen, Potowatomi for ‘The Teachings of Grass’, we experience the history and sounds of the West Coast First Nations, leaving the mouth of the Fraser River and unceded territories of the Tsawwassen First Nation, past the glistening skyscrapers occupying unceded Salish land into the deeper forests of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh. Inspired by a recent trip to British Columbia, a transect from the Lower Mainland into the mountains is captured through a percussive and ever-changing soundscape that moves in tune with the soul.
