: Das Lebendige Radio is back on the airwaves with its 15th episode. Prompted by a recent discovery of German indie/punk seven inches at a south east London record shop, the episode is a mix of Neue Deutsche Welle, Punk and krauty synth stuff. The whole thing should feel like one of these 80s newcomer compilations that brought together bands with so many different styles. It all begins with what sounds like the German version of legendary post-rock band Slint, then heads into some silly cod reggae and punk love songs, takes a kosmische synth detour and culminates in a Peruvian cover of an absolute minimal synth classic. Oh and don’t forget the rogue Welsh rave track in there that qualified because of its Kraftwerk feel. Shout out to my dad on this mix as a couple of records come from his old collection :) Enjoy the ride!
