Linett Kamala joins the Alternate Steps show for a special carnival-themed episode. Since being one of the first girls to DJ at Notting Hill Carnival back in the early 1980s as a 14-year-old, on one of its longest-running sound systems, Disya Jeneration, she has channeled the community potential of festival culture to enrich arts education. As a festival organiser and an artist herself, she also looks to develop the next generation of creatives with her project, Lin Kam Art, delivering events, residencies, and programmes across the UK.
