We welcome Chicago musician Lucas Sikorski to the Pop Punk Pizza Party as we give our full hour to the 60s-rock'n'roll-takeover-subgenre known as "powerpop". With a brief overview of 20th century youth cultures and a decoupling of lyric themes we set sail to explore powerpop's sonic waves for one of the key artistic underpinnings of pop punk.
This episode of Pop Punk Pizza Party was recorded live, on-air, at the WLPN studio in Bridgeport, Chicago, "The Community of the Future". Listen to WLPN, Lumpen Radio, on your 105.5 FM Chicago radio dial and around the world at LumpenRadio.com, a play button ▶ click away!
