Polley Music Library show: The music of Shostakovich

On this weekend’s edition of the Polley Music Library show, we talked about one of the more readable biographies of composer Dmitri Shostakovich. So many composer biographies lean toward the academic, but this one makes the story of Shostakovich’s come alive in a more music fan-friendly format. We listened to a piece of his work, too.
