Polley Music Library Show: Slide Rules: a little history of slide-based stringed instruments

On this episode, we skipped the books! Instead, we talked a little bit about the history of stringed instruments played with a slide or tonebar, in anticipation of an event at the Polley Music Library next Saturday, Oct 11th, from 2-3 PM. We also listened to some music played on variants of the mohan veena, an Indian instrument made by modifying the Hawaiian lap guitar concept to include drone and sympathetic strings.
