Description
On this edition of the Polley Music Library program, we explored the work of composer Conlon Nancarrow, whose studies for the player piano inspired generations of composers to leverage evolving technology toward new kinds of musical "hyperrealism" (borrowing a phrase from composer Noah Creshevsky). We heard a few other approaches to "superhuman" music, too. This music can be absolutely exciting, and anything you can dream can be turned into music with the right technology to help.
