Did you know that musicians are almost four times more likely than non-musicians to develop hearing impairments? On this episode of the Polley Music Library show, we talked about a new book called "Aural Diversity" that addresses this uncomfortable but important topic through a collection of essays by researchers and musicians, many of whom have adapted their own working methods to continue making music despite hearing difficulties. We listened to some music made by musicians with a variety of hearing differences, too.
