"The show is special recording from a fundraiser for preserving coastal music heritage held at the Santuri Salon on May 9th 2023 with guests Nassoro Mwinyi, custodian of Mbwana Radio Services catalogue, Prof. Mwenda Ntarangwi and cultural anthropologist Wairimũ Nduba, founder of werjokenya. There are plenty of music interludes from the collection. Moderated by Alina Oswald.
At the end of last year the studio and shop - Mbwana Radio Service closed its doors permanently but the cassettes still exists albeit in a precarious state. That’s why we need your support in preserving the diverse collection!
