"Carlos do Complexo was born and raised in Complexo do Engenho da Rainha, in Rio de Janeiro and has established himself as one of the most brilliant producers of this generation. CDC, as it is also known, is constantly experimenting with the sounds of Electronic, R&B, Funk Carioca, African music, among others. Carlos' artistic desires are echoed by the synthesizers in sum and, at times, out of tune, transporting the listener to a singular and aggressive place. His influence began in 2015, when the artist was a precursor to the now popular Brazilian trap/funk aesthetic. The track “Satisfação 6am Version” opened doors for partnerships with North American producer Sango, with whom he released four collaborations on the Soulection label. Since then, he has worked with important artists such as Silva, Tuyo, BK, Fran, Duda Beat and Sen Senra."
