'Águas de Março' or 'Waters of March' is the name of one of my favourite Bossa Nova songs, sung by Elis Regina and Tom Jobim. While this mix started out as a joke about a monthly mix series playing Brazilian Liquid DNB each March, the more I thought about it the more I thought it would be a great idea for a mix. I've done my best to include as many different Brazilian artists in this mix in order to highlight the massive contribution they've made to the DNB scene. This mix itself obviously only scratches the surface of Brazilian DNB and there are entire artists and labels that have gone unaddressed as the mix itself is limited to what I have in my personal collection, nonetheless, I think this mix does a degree of justice in paying tribute to the many greats such as the Bristol based DJ S.P.Y. (who is arguably my biggest stylistic influence as a DJ). If you liked this, then you may enjoy this compilation: https://www.beatport.com/release/brazilian-team-mixed-by-dj-patife/1333341
