Continuing my explorations into the limits of gqom, UK Funky and perc here. I want to give a major shout out to DJ SCRIBY from Durban, South Africa for having tracked me down and sent me a few tunes from his release "The Gqom Trilogy" on Hakuna Kulala, a label based out of Kapala Uganda. His tracks 'The Night' and 'S3' add some real punch to this mix. I'm also fully loaded on tunes from Livity Sound whose take on dubwise techno and house is really appealing to my brain which no longer really holds a place for more traditional tech house and deep house (I'm sorry, it's not 2014 anymore). The kuduro aspect of things is coming from the label XXIII whose pay what you want compilations are loaded with dark and grooving rumblers that I'm only just starting to get a handle on.
