I’m coming out from two of the toughest years of my life, and the music you are about to hear is what saved me. This mix features the song I walked down the aisle to at my wedding a few months before my life was flipped upside down, songs that held me through lonely nights dealing with withdrawals from an addiction I’d held onto for 10 years, songs that comforted me when I was kicked out of my career, songs that I danced on the roof to in the rain during the last nights in my home, Brooklyn, NY. All of this music has held me through moments that tested my willpower. The love that I have for myself and the love that I have for God is what got me through it all.
