When revolution, poetry, resistance, and rock & roll collide, the result is Argentine rock.
In a political context based on censorship and oppression, rock music in Argentina became a weapon against the system. Rock concerts served a social purpose through music, a way to express dissent and resistance to the dictatorship of the 1970s.
Artists like Charly García, Fito Páez, and Gustavo Cerati from Soda Estereo (Voices that influenced us far beyond music itself) were the soundtrack of my father and uncles, that over time, it was passed down like a generational inheritance to my cousins, siblings, and me.
