SCANZONATISSIMA turns the DJ set into a narrative device, using selection as a form of sonic archaeology. FROUGE's research explores Italian culture as a collective emotional archive, drawing on sources such as the national Italian television archives and moving through her Neapolitan funk roots, disco, library music and forgotten or overlooked songs suspended between TV shows, cinema and the hidden balere, the traditional social dancefloors of Southern Italy.
