I lived in São Paulo in the summer 2014, in a Morumbi high-rise with a view on Paraisópolis, the city’s biggest favela. I only got into funk during a second trip in 2021, but here I focused on funk ostentacão/funk ousadia, the styles at the root of mandelão. All tracks by São Paulo MCs 2008-2018.
