I was raised in the sounds of South Asia. When I hear these songs, laden with thumpy tablas and ornamental gamakas, I find home. This is a celebration of those sounds, from Newa Folk to Bollywood classics, as well as the South Asian diaspora who have found inspiration in the same wells.
