Heading to wartime Sài Gòn, specifically the venue Quán Văn, where two young performers – Trịnh Công Sơn, singer-song writer, and Khánh Ly, singer, would perform regularly for an intimate audience in the midst of a devastating conflict.
One of the few venues the artist could perform at, due to government's persecution, the duo performed folk music, evoking themes of love, loss, filial piety, the spiritual world, homeland, and anti-war sentiment.
