Few embody the this era's boundless positivity than the late DJ Mehdi – born in the outskirts of Paris to Tunisian parents, Mehdi began his musical life as a hip hop DJ and producer in the 1990s, for acts like Idéal Junior. In the early 2000s he became the grinning poster child of that Paris party set that was envy of the world, gifting the scene anthems like the timeless "Signatune".
