I wanted to make a mixtape highlighting the varied sounds of Yugoslavia spanning the 1980s. I've long been playing these tunes on my radio shows and thought I'd take the moment to share some of my favorite songs, hopefully shining a light on famous as well as lesser known artist and show the many movements of sound that existed and overlapped with each other at the time. I want to dedicate this mixtape to Monika and Selma, who showed me so much of this music and who always kindly helps me translate lyrics.
