THE CONFIDENCE OF IGNORANCE v THE TYRANNY OF CHOICE
"If you're walking along the edge of a cliff, and you don't know it's the edge of a cliff, you have perfect confidence" said Orson Welles, aptly describing MADERA , still struggling with the studio hardware as he leaps un-prepared into his 70th show. This was meant to be a Carnival Special, but the tyranny of choice concept manifested itself in the form of some great new music landing on the door mat and whooshing into the "in box" , diluting the theme somewhat. But then again, the show isn't called STOP MAKING SENSE for nothing, right?
