Mogpaws - Over Our Heads

Superhero & action movies are equal parts enjoyable & depressing. The powers, bestowing beatings upon the evil members of our kind, getting enveloped in a globe-threatening conspiracy etc.. make me jealous even as a grown-assed man.
 
Not being able to bend metal with my mind or fling fire & ice from my hands is agitating.  I’m scared of motorcycles even though it would be nice to drive them through crowded markets at high speeds while being shot at by henchmen who will meet their end through my skill & creativity.  Lying awake at night covered in blood & sweat knowing that one misstep would mean calamity for all humanity.  
 
The hours spent with music are a cure to such woes.  Controlling sound feels maybe like a superpower as it colours our endeavours and adds excitement where it might otherwise be lacking.  The power of distracting people from their problems is good enough for now.
