Kwak - Festival des Libertés

A set presenting artists performing at Festival des Libertés (Brussels) from the 16th until the 25th of October 2014: MF Doom, Robert Glasper, Groundation, Seun Kuti, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Aka Moon & more.

Political and artistic, intercultural and creative, festive and subversive, Festival des Libertés returns each autumn to mobilise all forms of expression in order to offer an overview of the state of rights and freedoms around the world, to point out lurking dangers, to bring people together in a fun, relaxing atmosphere, to encourage resistance and to promote solidarity.

This year's theme is "Obey and Disobey". Whom and what do we obey? Our master’s voice? Why do we obey? Willingly, begrudgingly or under force? Out of habit or fear? Who writes the rules? Who enforces them and how? Who are the legitimate authorities? How do they work? Aren’t they often contradictory?
