Introducing Derrick Gee's Finetooth

A 28 year old TV producer, I have hosted a hip hop / jazz show called Finetooth since 2012. Starting as a podcast, Finetooth became a radio show on Sydney's Eastside Radio in mid-2014. Since its inception, show has aired seventy-seven 90min episodes. 

Finetooth's ethos is to comb the world of music to uncover the musical influences and inspirations of my favourite artists. Connecting the dots between hip hop samples and jazz, as well as uncover the influences of numerous artists, Finetooth's goal is to cross all genres while tying them all together in a thoughtful way.

Three weeks ago I left Eastside Radio to go back to recording Finetooth from my apartment, where I will be recording the show weekly.
