Dave bought his first 45 in 1970 and soon started attending soul nights in the worth west, in his words, ‘Buying as many records as my paper-round money would run to!’ He started with Motown and Northern, moved to crossover, and then to the group harmony, sweet and deep sounds that we champion at COTB. He considers himself primarily a collector, but has guested at many of the UK's best events, including DAB of Soul, Soul Liberation, Doncaster Horse & Groom and Soul Essence etc.
