Ian Rothwell in conversation with editor & writer Richard V Hirst winner of 2011 Manchester Fiction Prize. Richard has edited 'Waiting for The Gift' a book of 11 short stories inspired by David Bowie's 1977 album Low taking on a song title. These have been written by some of the finest contemporary writers & is published by confingopublishing.co.uk. Plus a thank you to Zena Barrie who can be heard in the interview. Richard's writing has been published in The Guardian, Time Out & The Quietus. He has previously edited 'We Were Strangers' stories inspired by Joy Division's debut album. Also it's a welcome back to writer & performer Steve Titley who is taking his show 'Church of The Fall' to the Camden & Edinburgh Fringes in Aug. With music by The Florists & Ditch Swimmer on German Shepherd Records, Alexis Karl from New York, Charm of Finches & another Played by The Baron track.
