Ian Rothwell interviews Chris Benewith about the Aeolian Light a monolithic light installation at The Quays that visualises the wind as an illuminated, chaotic force. Exclusively commissioned for Quays Culture and The University of Salford, the large-scale FREE outdoor experience will sit on the Plaza between The Lowry and the Lowry Outlet, from 18 December 2014 until 7 January 2015. Also an interview with British born composer Lydia Kakabadse who grew up in Cheshire and has been composing music since the young age of thirteen. Lydia has a talent for writing both chamber and choral music. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of influences such as Middle Eastern Music, mythology, nineteenth century poets, Latin Literature and talent for dancing, When listening, one can hear the distinct allusion to Middle Eastern music, which is brilliantly interwoven within the classical themes.
