Ian Rothwell with Jill Bowyer in conversation with Athena Lamnisos the Chief Executive of The Eve Appeal. March 2015 is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. The Eve Appeal asks people across the UK to hold tea parties with a view to raising money and awareness. Every year in the UK over 7,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer and 4,200 women lose their fight. Each cup of tea poured and every cake baked and enjoyed can help change that statistic.
The Eve Appeal is raising awareness of signs and symptoms of the disease, alongside raising funds for vital research into risk prediction and earlier detection – because that’s what will save lives.
