A Bit of Everything with Artist Kate Herbert. 20/8/15

Ian Rothwell in conversation with Salford born artist Kate Herbert about her joint exhibition with sculptor Angela Sidwell called ''Messages & Promises'' at Ordsall Hall. Kate was awarded a scholarship at 12 to Salford Art School, something unheard of for girl back then, she even extended her studies to the age of 21, having been encouraged by Lowry himself. Kate has continued to sketch, paint and write all her life around her job as a primary school teacher, mother and grandmother. The exhibition runs until 20th Sept. In 2012 she had a successful exhibition at Salford Museum & Art Gallery. 20/8/15
