A Bit of Everything in conversation with Fran Frost and Councillor Val Bourgoyne talking about Emmaus a charity that supports formerly homeless people. Emmaus gives people a home and meaningful work in a social enterprise and an opportunity to get themselves back on their feet again. They have a shop in Seaford Road, Salford selling affordable, quality second hand furniture and household goods. Emmaus has secured government funds to bring back an empty council building Unwin Court into use and will create a home for 26 formerly homeless people and a community manager. It is anticipated that the building renamed Emmaus House will be fully occupied by next Summer. 15/8/13
