The Liverpool East or South East Asian (ESEA) Network was formed by Sufea Mohammed Noor as a safer space, out of urgency, in September 2021 to mark the first East and South East Asian Heritage Month in the UK and as a response to the increase in racism during the COVID-19 pandemic.
They are a support group for listening, sharing, healing and helping. They are made up of; creative practitioners and creative thinkers from Liverpool (and the surrounding area); those who are based here; and those with a profound connection to the city.
